LG E-Note H1000B Windows 7 Tablet Starts Selling In Korea

Earlier this month we learnt of a new Windows 7 slate tablet from LG with a H1000B model number that popped up at the FCC. We only knew a little at the time – it was based on an Atom processor and had Windows 7. Well, now it’s on sale in Korea as the LG E-NOTE H1000B. Turns out it’s based on an Z530 Atom processor with a 16GB SSD and Windows 7 Starter with the standard interface except for a custom keyboard. There’s a cradle stand and stylus pen included too (chunky capacitive style).

The specs are – a 10.1″ 1366 x 768 capacitive touch display, Intel Atom Z530 processor (1.6GHz), 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD, b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, G-sensor, Windows 7 Starter and a 4-cell battery. Weighs 850g with a 14.5 mm thickness. Ports and buttons – 2x USB 2.0, SD Card reader, volume rocker, windows menu and power buttons.

The tablet is selling in a bundle with a portable WiMAX router (WiBro in Korea) with one price plan at 961,000 won ($851). The tablet looks good but the technology is dated already and the platform isn’t that fast. I’m sure most of us are waiting out for Oak Trail and Moorestown which is just around the corner.
