Beat the winter blues with the Bodyclock Active "dawn simulator"

We love the winter; it brings us closer together over the festive period, and all the best films are on the telly. But boy, are those cold, dark mornings a drag. So much so that many people suffer from what is known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) a medical condition that's brought on by a lack of natural sunlight.

Lumie, working alongside the National Trust and RSPB, think they've got the perfect solution in the form of the Bodyclock Active. They're calling it a dawn simulator, which is basically a very nifty alarm clock that fills your room with light in the morning as well as the soothing sounds of birdsong.

Available on 30 day trials, you can pick the Bodyclock Active up from Boots or John Lewis

ASUS O!Play Mini player ditches the USB 3.0 but keeps the 1080p

The O!Play HD2 may be the first media device to support USB 3.0, but we're guessing that hasn't exactly inspired too many of you to run out and buy the things

assuming you can actually find one for sale. Maybe a slimmer, shapelier form factor would do the trick. That's the new O!Play Mini, a much more petite entry into the series that makes do with a single USB 2.0 connector along with an SD/MMC/MS/XD card reader up front. Around back are optical audio and an HDMI 1.3 connector, through which it will pump 1080p video and up to 7.1 audio in Dolby Digital AC3, DTS 2.0+, even TrueHD and DTS-HD, plus a variety of other formats. There are also RCA outputs if you prefer your digital steam in audio. File format support looks pretty legendary, including all the usuals plus less commonly supported extensions like MKV, MTS, OGG, and FLAC, even RighTxT subtitles. No word on price or availability yet, but with the HD2 clocking in at $129.99 we wouldn't be surprised to see this slotting in somewhere under $100.

Oxygen Audio debuts O'Car, O'Dock iPhone car docking accessories

Looking for a bit more integration than your usual iPhone car dock or FM transmitter can provide? Then you might want to consider Oxygen Audio's new O'Car head unit, which packs a swiveling iPhone dock that's considerably discreet than some other similar units out there. It's also, of course, a full-fledged car radio, and it packs a 4x55W amp that Oxygen says delivers "perfect quality sound" to your car's speakers. If that's all a bit too much for you, however, Oxygen has also announced the decidedly more standard-looking O'Dock unit that simply mounts on your dash or windshield -- check it out after the break. Unfortunately, there's still no word on pricing or availability for either unit, but we're assuming those details will be made available at CES next month.

IR-embedded Surc case converts iPhone into a universal learning remote

Whoa, Nelly! ThinkFlood won't like this... not one bit. If you'll recall, the RedEye universal remote dongle was well received, as a simple 3.5mm adapter added IR beaming to Apple's slate of iDevices. But now, Mashed Pixel has taken the integration one step further, seamlessly embedding an Infrared emitter into a case. Simply pop the Surc around your iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4, download the (free) accompanying app and start programming. Before long, you'll be dictating your home entertainment setup sans any external accessories, and heck, you may even improve your phone's reception all the while. The only downside to this approach compared to ThinkFlood's is that the iPad is obviously not supported, and once you upgrade to the iPhone 5, your trusty IR case becomes a glorified paperweight. If you're kosher with that, though, you can get your pre-order in now for $69.95, with initial shipments expected to make their way out in Q1 2011.

How to Swap Out Your iPhone 4 Back Cover – The Next Big Trend?

You may have seen online at least one brave soul who has replaced their iPhone 4′s back cover with a metal beveled back. Well, surprise surprise, they weren’t all that brave after all. Turns out the process is extremely easy. Your phones innards will be exposed for a short while, but don’t worry because there is nothing technical involved.
The Process:

1. Turn iPhone 4 Off (just a worthwhile precaution)
2. Turn Vibrate Toggle ON
3. Unscrew two screws on bottom of iPhone 4 with a Philips #00 Screwdriver
4. Slide back cover towards the top of the iPhone 4 (away from the bottom)
5. After the back cover slides a centimeter or two it will just pop off (no connections to unplug)
6. That’s it, swap the back covers, slide it down and screw it in.

The best part is, if you do it correctly, does not invalidate the warranty. Until you strip the screw, there is no apparent way for Apple to determine if you have activated the back cover. It is, as long you remember to put your stock cover.

The back cover I use is beveled, meaning that protrudes slightly. This gives the phone a more natural look. The edges are rounder and less distinct, then the stock front. To give your iPhone 4, an even more comfortable, you can add a bumper at all. The bumper fits both the bevel back as you do with the paper flat back.

Hong Kong is already a bit 'backtracking various covers available. Most of them for less than $ 20 shipped. You can beat Apple to the chase, and give your iPhone 4, the plate of white glass in the back, was denied. You can also get a bit 'crazy and give your iPhone 4, the fur back to green. Or, like me, you can give bezeled add brushed metal back and fourth to make your iPhone look and feel cooler more comfortable. This is a win-win. So when it's time to sell your iPhone 4 you have the four original iPhone back in perfect condition.

So, now that the secrets out there that is super easy to replace the back cover, it will be the next big trend? Furniture shops, markets, and stalls at the mall and start to benefit from this trivial change? It 's very likely. Back in the days Nextel, this place completely upgrade the housing of the phone, which was much more intense. Do not give them the satisfaction of charging $ 50 for it. The process takes only minutes. In fact, it was easier then steamed Element Case for iPhone in 4 cases we have reviewed. There was no significant change in signal strength after a week of use, which is nice. Some cases may be exhausted for the moment, but you can order from www.cnn.cn, just search for "iPhone 4 back." Alternatively, take a look on eBay, have a lot of back cover for 4 iPhone too.

Note: Do not try to use outside # 00 Philips screwdriver. Also, do not hold us responsible if something goes wrong. This review is for educational purposes only.
